FAQ

Q: Do I have to be an experienced singer?

A: You do not have to have previous choir experience; we do not hold auditions, and you will never be asked to sing on your own if you are not comfortable with it. On the other hand, if, like some of our members, you have a great deal of musical skill and experience, you will also find a welcome with us.

Q: Would I have to pay a subscription?

A: For the first four weeks, attending is free for everyone, so you can decide whether you want to join.
But we don’t want anyone to be unable to join us for lack of funds, so a lower fee, whatever you can afford, is fine and we recognize that some may not be able to afford a fee at all.
The subscriptions are used to pay for the running of the choir, to rent rehearsal space, pay our musical leader, photocopy music etc.

Q: What if I do not agree with all of the political views?

A: There is a lot of opportunity to express views about the political content of songs and the events we choose to sing at. We respect a range of different views held by choir members.
